Founding NOVEL in November 2016, Sarvejit Dogra had over 22 years of experience leading R&D for military & medical applications, With an extensive career in engineering within the automotive industry, at BMW, Valeo as Director of Quality Engineering and Manufacturing, and eventually to Unipart as Group Technical Director.
Born and educated in London, gaining an honours degree in Applied Physics, Master of Science in Industrial Measurement Systems, and participated in a PhD in Optical Microcomputer & Sensor Systems.
He lectured at several well-known universities around London and Midlands, in mathematics, physics and optical non-contact measurements systems, whilst leading multiple R&D projects for the Ministry of Defence (MOD), Rolls-Royce Jet Engines, National Food Research Centre (India), Rover Group, and others.
Initially operating as a senior Radio development and manufacturing specialist at Ford Motor Company, before stepping into the role as Platform Leader for the Aftermarket electronics division at Visteon, heading business in 'vehicle screen entertainment (RSE)' with most major automotive manufacturers.
Joining BMW, heading supplier quality, and technology procurement for vehicle electronics, leading almost every global automotive supplier, for product excellence in manufacturing and technology, for E-Machines, Electronics and all BMW Semiconductor innovation. With the support of Oliver Zipse (Chairman of BMW), he managed the leadership of ‘E-Vehicle’ supplier technologies, drive systems, electronics, and regenerative methods, including batteries, for the successful introduction of the BMW ‘Hybrid’, and then the BMW ‘All Electric’ model range.
In 2010, he was approached for the role of Quality Director of Valeo, to lead group capability for ‘micro-hybrid’ and ‘E-Machines’ division.
Leading successfully, 8 global manufacturing facilities, and 3 engineering sites, for global business excellence, and for the next generation Audi ‘e’ vehicles, with Dr Martin Winterkorn (former Chairman of VAG Group) and Dr Herbert Diess (Chairman of VAG Group).
Joining Unipart Group, with the function as Technical Director supporting group innovation, and as a part of 'client consulting services', fully integrated into the client managing board as, Technical Director at HSS Hire, Unipart Rail, and Unipart Manufacturing, leading innovation, procurement, and business development globally in USA, China and India for all business sectors.
Since 2017, over the last 5 years, he has led NOVEL in the support of SME and Corporate businesses.
With the single aim of providing expert services, with the actions, and management, and results, NOVEL has been able to demonstrate the clear benefits of interim resources, managed through its policies and standards.
