Senior Product Manager; REAR SEAT ENTERTAINMENT

Visteon's creation from Ford allowed significant opportunities to create a service of technology products focused for all markets and clients in the automotive, or non automotive sectors. 

With the leadership and direction of the market rear seat entertainment was a critical selling factor in the luxury vehicle market, but brought into the realm of standard vehicles by Ford, Renault and Peugeot as options.

Heading up the technology, innovation logistics and sales of rear seat entertainment to provide clients with an aftermarket option, designed by the Visteon team Aftermarkets division, but bespoke for OEM standards, compliance, and installation, was the next progressive step.

​

Together with the boards of leading vehicle manufacturers like Volvo and BMW, the client teams were assigned and the effort was managed with a team of dedicated Visteon development engineers and Visteon manufacturing plants in my scope to support and manage the business.

With a dedicated manufacturing facility in LaVapillier in France and working closely with interior suppliers in Sweden and Germany were able to provide the 'best-in-class' service for the 'Special vehicles division' .

Dedicated teams generated parts and components with a Visteon Brand, bespoke for seamless vehicle installation into client vehicles;

• Vehicle Bespoke Multimedia Harnesses (Dedicated)

• MB800 DVD player, micro DVD player

• Headrests fitted with screens, fully compliant to safety regulations

• Audio amplifiers standard for 5.1 surround sound

• Headphones for privacy 

• Control System, with the OEM style remote

The system all tested and approved to client specification and installed, and the business delivered to the vehicle board directors that managed the extensive marketing and the introduction of this truely amazing product innovation for its time, amounting to $20M per vehicle line.
