Product Line Quality Director (E-Machines)
The effort and experience gained to introduce E-Machines into the Hybrid and Electric Vehicle market had been extensive and noticed at several companies.
Valeo France approached me to lead the business for the E-Machines division as a Quality Director.
Within Valeo, the role of Quality is a pinnacle role, of operations, design, manufacturing, customer interactions and P&L for the business, innovations and projects.
With a significant experience already in business, technology and manufacturing the role was a perfect fit and to work alongside some very talented individuals, in a leading company supplying automotive innovation was a very natural step.
The Global function was significant with interaction and full sector and business leadership and control of multiple manufacturing facilities around the world.

Leading manufacturing profitability, capability, operations and right first time in line with the Valeo policies was a prestigious function, and executed with the meticulous methods and capabilities of my experience with line failures or design failures driven out.
With a total focus on productivity, the deliverable was consistent capability through programmes of learning and improvement of individual skills that was core to the Valeo methodology driven in each of the sites I remained responsible for.
As well as Manufacturing the interaction of new projects and developments led to actions with the R&D teams at Valeo sites located in Europe and around the world.

With interactive sessions leading and developing client business, the innovations took shape to become the future of automotive technologies we see today.
Leading the Valeo business, and working directly with the client Board Directors and senior team at AUDI Gmbh, Martin Winterkorn (Chairman Ret), and Dr Herbert Diess (Chairman) of Volkswagen Audi Group, we were able to support projects that were groundbreaking and indeed key to the advancement of Automotive Hybridisation, Micro-Hybridisation for the evolving market.
With groundbreaking innovation, the Valeo 'Electric Supercharger' saw jet engine performance and technology in a micro device.
Complementing engine boost pressure together with conventional turbochargers systems gave vehicles, better performance and reduced emissions.
This project delivered for use in the AUDI product range.
AUDI's engine technology utilising and integrating the VALEO 'Electric Supercharger' for performance and emissions enhancement.
The project was a revolutionary step forward to electronic and mechanical capabilities. With jet engine precision and exceptional accelerations at the turbine, the Valeo 'Electric Supercharger' was the first of its kind.
Offering upto 120,000rpm in 300msec !
The exciting innovations, to lead transition of board level visions, and client requirements to the engineers and the business teams. To develop the products, lead the development to maturity, seeing through the manufacturing investment and indeed in most cases approve the budget for expansion of industrial sites to locate the product lines, then mange their operations and productivity to ensure satisfaction and business profits.
